Oscar Hopefuls From A24
Mid-90’s is Jonah Hill‘s directorial debut. The coming-of-age comedy-drama is produced by Scott Rudin and features music by Trent Rezznor and Atticus Ross. According to A24, “Mid90s follows Stevie, a thirteen-year-old in 90s-era LA who spends his summer navigating between his troubled home life and a group of new friends that he meets at a Motor Avenue skate shop.”

Another feature debut this time by writer/director Ari Aster. This film stars Toni Colette (Little Miss Sunshine, The Sixth Sense). Under the Silver Lake
Known for his horror film It Follows, David Robert Mitchell has now turned his writer/director hand to a film noir offer. Under the Silver Lake stars Andrew McCarthy as a man who discovers a strange woman (Riley Keogh) frolicking in his apartment building pool and ends up following him through LA’s underbelly as he investigates her disappearance.
